David Kenneth Longstreet

David Kenneth Longstreet, passed away on March 21, 2021, at the age of 94. Born in 1926, David was the fifth of 7 children born to Calvin and Allie Longstreet. He was only an i nf a nt when the family moved to Manhattan Beach and remembers his childhood as idyllic, enjoying many happy summer days fishing or swimming at the beach. At Redondo Beach HS he was active i n all types of sporting activities and was known to be a better than average baseball and football player.

At the age of 17 the family moved to Arbuckle, CA, where David enrolled at Pierce Joint Union High School. Here he lettered in baseball, football and basketball. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Navy serving two years aboard the USS Edgecomb and saw extensive service in the south pacific. He was discharged in 1946 as a signalman 3rd class.

In Santa Barbara, California he met Lucille Nellany whom he married in 1949. Two children were born of this union, William Stephen Longstreet and David Michael Longstreet. This marriage ended i n divorce i n 1952 and David moved to Garden Grove. Here he met Vivian June Arquette whom he married in 1955. Vivian had a daughter named Vickie and David happily took her as his own daughter.

This family moved to Lodi, California in1957 where David continued working in the constructi­on business. While in Lodi, two boys were born to t hi s union, Mathew Ray Longstreet and Timothy Martin Longstreet. In 1972 David went to work for the California Youth Authority as a senior Youth Counselor and upon retirement in 1988 they moved to Middleton, Idaho. Here after 55 years of marriage Vivian passed away.

In 2010 at the age of 84 David moved to Colusa, California and married his high school sweetheart. David was known to all as a warm and friendly good honest man who was quick to smile with a lively sense of humor. Generous in nature, a proud veteran, and a passionate outdoorsma­n he loved life and left a loving legacy.

David is survived by his wife, Patricia (Bailey) Myers Longstreet of Colusa; a sister, Rosetta ( Toddy) Bailey of Elk Grove, CA; three sons: William Stephen Wall of Jacksonvil­le FL; David Michael Wall of Three Rivers, CA; and Timothy Martin Longstreet of Weiser, ID; along with a number of much loved grand and great grand children.

“God called on his sweetest Angel ever.” Debra “Debbie” Ann Woloszyn passed away peacefully at her home with her l oving husband, Joe and family by her side on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at the age of 57. She was a devoted wife, stepmother, grandmothe­r, sister, aunt, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law and sister-in-law.

She is preceded i n death by her parents, Jose Villalpand­o and C l a u d i a Ma e V i l - lalpando of Marysville, CA; and her father-inlaw, Stefan Woloszyn of Southingto­n, CT.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Joe Woloszyn; sons, Joey Woloszyn and Stefan Woloszyn (Willow); grandson, Robert Woloszyn; granddaugh­ter, Hannah Woloszyn; mother-inlaw, Zuzanna Woloszyn; sister-in-law, Mary Woloszyn; brother, Joe Villalpand­o (Candi); sister, Rebecca Griffith (Jeff); nephews, Phillip T r u j i l l o a n d Owen Trujillo; nieces, Amber Ni e g e l (Scott) and Peyton Niegel; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Debbie was born on February 8, 1964, i n Marysville, CA. She was a longtime resident of the Yuba-sutter area where she attended Kynoch Elementary, Anna L. Mckinney Intermedia­te and Marysville High School. She worked for several counties Yuba, Sutter, Colusa and Placer County for the Welfare Department. She retired after 23 years of service and moved to Plantsvill­e, CT, with her husband, Joe.

Debbie will be lovingly remembered by all her passions and good times. She l oved to dance, karaoke, and going to concerts. Back in the day she enjoyed cruising the strip in her “El Camino” traveling with friends and family in Hawaii, Mexico, New York and Maine.

She also loved family gatherings. Mexican food was her favorite, “The h o t t e s t sauce please”, was her favorite quote. She enjoyed volunteeri­ng at Bread for Life and Her Friends at AARP. She had a few hobbies, women’s softball, gardening and she loved to gamble on the slot machines. She was always so lucky.

Ernest “Ernie” Leroy Wood; age 87, of Yuba City, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021, at Rideout Hospital i n Marysville. He was born June 26, 1933, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Ernest and Mary (Harris) Wood.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Keitha Wood of Yuba City; son, Stephen L. Wood (Beth) of Anderson; daughter, Marci Morris (Melvin) of Yuba City; 4 grandsons, Stephen C. Wood (Amy) of Olivehurst; Justin Wood (Sue) of Barstow; Tanner and Trayce Wood of Anderson; 1 granddaugh­ter, Jessica Morris Scott (David) of Elk Grove; 3 great-granddaugh­ters, Sarah Wood of Barstow, Audrey and Paige Wood of Olivehurst; 2 greatgrand­sons, Stephen M. Wood of Barstow, and El i j a h S c o t t o f El k Grove; 2 brothers, Kenneth “Ken” Wood (Georgia) of Yuba City, and Gerald “Jerry” Wood (Michelle) of Windsor; and many loved nieces and nephews.

He is preceded i n death by his parents, Ernest and Mary Wood; grandson, Joshua Morris; 3 sisters, Alline Hoyer, Anna Faye and Louella Wood; 3 brothers, Sherman, Vernon, and Mac Wood.

He graduated from Marysville High School and attended Yuba College before being drafted into the US Army where he served during the Korean War. After his military service he worked for PT&T (Pacific Telephone & Telegraph) before working and retiring from Caltrans as District Electrical/traffic Engineer after 39 years. He attended Calvary Christian Center and was a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, April 9, 2021, at 12:00 pm at Sierra View Mortuary and Memorial Park, 4900 Olive Ave., Olivehurst. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Heart Associatio­n or Alzheimer’s Associatio­n.

Lloyd Vernon Pope was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on August 14, 1935. He passed a way F e b r u a r y 2 6 , 2021, in the comfort of his home in Yuba City, CA, surrounded by his family. He was 85.

He is survived by his former wife Helen, who was his caregiver for the last 20 years, his daughter Twila Webb and her husband Greg; a son Lloyd Pope and 3 grandsons, Jessie, Steven and Dillon. He is a l s o s ur v i v e d b y 3 brothers, Ronald, Lynn and Allen Pope, all of Live Oak, CA, and many new f r i e nds.

There will be a celebratio­n of life at a later date.
