Re: Socialism

-

In the USA, I can work my job and operate other side ventures such as sales, more work, and an array of other money making ventures. And I am rewarded for my hard work, as I should be. It increases my capital. It is as if I am in a capitalist environment. But if some in high government eventually have their way, they may end up deciding that I have too much money, while someone else does not have enough. So they will take some of it without asking. Now that I have been robbed, my motivation for working so hard might go away, especially if I can expect it to happen again. So I wind up making less. To compensate, they must eventually rob larger amounts of money from me. Once this happens, I become despondent because I no longer make enough to survive. And it only gets worse from there. Such is the case for socialism.

It has been a popular parroting line for socialists to say that socialism hasn’t failed because it’s never been tried, but nothing could be further from the truth. There are at least 40 countries that we know of that the ways of socialism have failed. Three of the nations that tried the model post WWII were Israel, India, and the UK, only to later reject it. If the above is rebutted, however, it will occasionally be said that the apparent success of some small faraway country that uses the system (but that system isn’t true socialism). Socialism somehow always looks very promising in theory to many of its students, and seems to be a “magic bullet” for social ills, but the stark reality of it is that it has a long track record of failing every single time it is applied. It ultimately leaves its unwilling subjects (population) depressed, in poor health and squalor, and starving.

We must be considerate of ourselves, our children, and others and stand up in a civilized way as one undivided people against those who would have us adopt this type of government. And It is our constitutional right to do so.
