James Neal Johnson, 74, passed away April 21, 2022, in Sacramento. Jim was born March 13, 1948 to Mel and Wilma Johnson in Marysville, CA.

Jim was a long-time resident of Sutter county. He graduated from Yuba City High School in 1967, served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and worked as a welder for Sweco Products for many years.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sallie Johnson; daughter, Dominique Letsinger (Joseph); son, Bradley Johnson (Danielle); sisters: Judy Hafferty (Dennis), Janet Johnson, Joyce Hammitt; grandsons, Milo Letsinger and Levi Letsinger; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebratio­n of life will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 2pm, at the Moose Lodge in Yuba City.

John Anderson Childers, age 78, of Yuba City, passed away on April 28, 2022. He was born on February 23, 1944, in Wichita, Kansas to John D. and Lucille C. (Finney) Childers.

John served in the United States Army. He also worked in agricultur­e for several years. John was a member of Disabled American Veterans organizati­on. He will be dearly missed.

John is survived by his brothers: Larry D. Childers of Marysville and Jimmie C. Childers of Yuba City.

A celebratio­n of life will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Crossroads Community Church, 445 B Street, in Yuba City.

On the morning of May 18, 2022, Betty Anne Long passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.

Betty was born on March 22, 1943, to Willard and Amelia Roulsten in Marysville, California.

She was a lifelong resident of Sutter County, a graduate of Yuba City High School and Heald Business College. She worked for the Sutter County Road Department and also at the Yuba City Senior Center for many years.

In their almost sixty years of marriage, she and Doug enjoyed many trips across the world, as well as her favorite place on earth, along the Mendocino coast.

She loved Doug and her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids, who affectiona­tely referred to her as “Nam” and loved nothing more than to be at home, surrounded by her family.

Betty is survived by her husband and childhood sweetheart, Doug Long; two children: Stephen Long (Michael) and Stacy Federico (Lee); four grandchild­ren: Brenna Morehead (Kyle), Jacob Mcdonald (Mara), Nicholas Federico and Mason Federico; two great-grandchild­ren, Kayden and Grace Morehead; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Amelia and her beloved sister Sue.

Graveside services will be held at the Sutter Cemetery off Butte House Road on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 10:00 am.

Arrangemen­ts are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel of Yuba City.

Cherryl Kathleen Robinson Curt, born June 28, 1954, passed away May 17, 2022.

Cherri is survived by her husband, Fearell Curt of Live Oak; 2 nieces, Heather Thompson of Lincoln, and Emilie Thompson of Yuba City; and nephew, Philip Thompson of Lincoln.

Cherri worked at Meeks, Applegarth and Estrada Constructi­on and Barrow Landscapin­g as a book keeper.

Family is having a celebratio­n of life on June 11, 2022, at the brick Cafe on D St., Marysville, CA, starting at 3:00pm. Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Cherri"s life.
