We are heartbroke­n to announce Jesus (aka Shorte) Rodriguez passed away surrounded by family, December 30, 2022 at the age of 43 at Rideout Memorial.

Born September 8, 1979 to parents Juan and Lenora Rodriguez, he was a lifelong resident of Yuba-sutter area. He loved football and became a Raiders Fan early on life. He also enjoyed drawing which lead to his passion of being a tattoo artist. He did tattoos as a side job.

When he was 18 he met his sweetheart as pen pals. After writing to each other they decided to meet. Jesus knew at that moment she was the one he would spent his life with. Together they had 4 children, a dream of his was having a big family. His greatest joy was his only grandson. Being a grandpa came natural to him; creating special relationsh­ip and memories. The bond he had was something to be admired. They were best buds.

Family and friends will remember him for the kind heart and always willing to help those in need. He will be deeply missed and hold a place in our hearts forever. We love you Jesus.

Jesus is preceded in death by his beloved daughter Kayla Rodriguez; brother Jose Rodriguez and father Juan Rodriguez.

He is survived by loving wife of 26 years Amy Aulston; son Jesse Rodriguez; daughter Alissa Rodriguez; son Anthony Rodriguez; daughter Alexis Rodriguez; grandson Nico Leal Rodriguez.

He is also survived by mother Lenora Rodriguez; brothers Marcos Samora; Daniel Franco; Juan Rodriguez; Jaime Rodriguez; sisters Rebecca Franco; Felisitas Rodriguez; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend on January 27, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Victory Outreach Church, 523 J Street, Marysville, followed by a graveside service at 2:30 pm at Sierra View Memorial Park, 4900 Olive Avenue, Olivehurst.

Otha Jane Waters, of Yuba City, CA, was born on February 25, 1933, in Monette, AR, and passed away January 18, 2023, at the age of 89. She was a lifetime resident of the Yuba-sutter area.

Jane graduated from Yuba City High School and married her high school sweetheart, Don Marlin Waters, in April 1952. Jane was a faithful housewife for over 70 years and she loved her family deeply.

Jane was a dedicated Sunday School teacher for many years finding great joy in teaching young children about God. She enjoyed growing flowers, evident in the beautiful gardens found in every home she made throughout her life.

Jane is survived by her son, Don Waters Jr. and wife, Sue Waters of Washington State; daughter, Janice Underwood of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; son, Randy Waters and wife, Sarah Waters of Gridley, CA; sister, Barbara Adams of Washington State; and sister-in-law, Marlene Mcdaniel of Yuba City, CA; 13 grandchild­ren, 23 great-grandchild­ren, 1 great-great grandchild, 8 nieces, 4 nephews, and numerous cousins, greatniece­s and great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Don Marlin Waters; mother, Ida Ruth Seal; father, Harry Macklin Seal; brother, Tillman Seal; and sister, Bette Osborne.

A graveside service will be held at Sutter Cemetery in Sutter, CA, on Friday, January 27, 2023, 11:00 AM followed by a celebratio­n of life and reception at the Yuba City United Pentecosta­l Church.
