Area Toastmasters club seeking members, new location for meetings
Local Toastmasters club President Chuck Champlin said the club, which has had a presence in the area for about 30 years, is looking to resume in-person meetings following years of virtual meetings because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Not only is the club looking to find a regular meeting place, but it’s also looking to expand its current membership.
“Ideally, we host between 10 and 30 people, some of whom give speeches while other members act as timers,

Champlin said the
Yuba City/marysville Toastmasters club serves as a training and practice center for community influencers, politicians, and civic leaders.
The club has been meeting for about an hour starting at 5:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Champlin said that schedule could change if a new venue is found or if “new people lead us to new arrangements.”
Champlin said Toastmasters International manages more than 270,000 members in
