Georgia June Hastey, born Georgia June Hamon, on February 5, 1932, lived her entire life in South Yuba County, CA. She peacefully passed away on November 14, 2023, at her home. Georgia was a devoted daughter, a caring sister, a loving wife, a nurturing mother, and a cherished friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia Hamon and Frank W. Hamon; her husband, J. Rex Hastey; her sons, Lex Hastey, and Trent Hastey; and her brother, Frank Hamon. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved them.

Georgia is survived by her brother, Dennis Hamon; her sons, J. Rex Hastey and spouse Carol, and Brent Hastey and spouse Alisan. She was a loving grandmothe­r to six grandchild­ren: Christa, Keith, Jared, Cameron, Erin, and Beth. Additional­ly, she was a cherished great-grandmothe­r to Kalan, Lucas, Peyton, and Elliott.

Throughout her life, Georgia's unwavering love and loyalty to her family, friends, and her beloved South Yuba County were evident. Her kindness, compassion, and nurturing spirit touched the lives of many.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Georgia June Hastey will be held on November 28, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Sierra View Cemetery.

Though Georgia may no longer be with us, her legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering devotion will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of all those she touched.

Marvin Harvey Thomas passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 85, at home with his family by his side. He was born to Harvey and Pearl (Broiler) Thomas on July 5, 1938, and was a lifelong resident of Yuba City, CA. Marvin owned A-1 Body Shop and Towing from 1965, until he retired in 2008.

He enjoyed the outdoors. He spent many summers on various lakes with family and friends, boating and waterskiin­g. He was an avid sportsman and loved to big game hunt and fish! He was a member of the Moose Lodge since 1975 and enjoyed socializin­g with friends. Marvin loved his family and loved his dogs!

Marvin is preceded in death by his father, mother, and a brother, Gerald Thomas.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joann (Benham) Thomas; a brother, Harold Thomas; two sons: Tim (Lisa) Thomas, and Brandon (Stacy) Thomas; four grandchild­ren: Tiffani (Drake) Fusaro, Sarah Thomas (Frances Bacchi), Caitlyn Thomas, and Alex Thomas; and two great-grandchild­ren: Bristol Fusaro and Atticus Bacchi.

A viewing will take place from 9:0011:00am at Ullrey Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 27, 2023, with a service to follow at 11:00am.

Marvin will then be laid to rest at Sutter Cemetery. Immediatel­y following the services, we will be celebratin­g Marvin’s life at the Yuba City Moose Lodge.
