J.E. Mcgill, age 92, of Brownsvill­e and Trinidad, California, passed away on February 17, 2024, in Humboldt County, California. He was born on July 24, 1931, in Wagoner, Oklahoma.

J.E. Mcgill, an Army Veteran of the Korean War era, dedicated his life to service both in the military and in his community.

He and his loving wife, Tootie Mcgill, created three successful businesses together: Jetco Undergroun­d, JETM Inc., and Cathedral Oaks Water Co. His career included working on various projects such as Bay Area bridges, the Atlas Missile Silo in Colorado, and multiple dam constructi­ons. He was the Yuba County 5th District Supervisor 1981-90 on the Yuba County Water Agency Board.

Throughout his life, J.E. Mcgill found joy in his hobbies, which included hunting, fishing, music, gold panning, wood carving and supporting the Oakland A's.

He was known for his hard work ethic and dedication to his passions.

J.E. Mcgill is survived by his son, J.E. Mcgill Jr.; and daughter, Shelly Johnson (Gary); along with grandchild­ren, Christy Keber (Mike), Steve Lewis (Yolanda), Dustin Wiesner (New) greatgrand­children, Tyler and Mackenzie Keber, Angelica and Stephen Lewis; and many friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, wife, and children: John, Dusty and Sandy Mcgill; granddaugh­ter, Lacey; and many family and friends.

A Celebratio­n of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Brownsvill­e Cemetery, followed by a gathering at the Ponderosa Community Center in Brownsvill­e, California.

My Angel, my wife, my best friend, Deanna Harris, passed away on March 5, 2024. Deanna was born on August 25, 1962, she was a life long residence of the Yubasutter area.

Deanna is survived by her husband, Ernest "Will" Harris; two sons, William "Shane" Harris and Matthew Troy Harris; mother, Linda Tharpe; sister, Michele Garrick; two daughtern-laws, Andrea Harris and Sharon Harris; and six grandkids: Thomas, Ray, Cody, Ellie, Colt and Lilly.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Tharpe; and brother, Jay Tharpe.

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 11am-3pm at Church of Christ Latter day Saints, 1470 Butte House Road, Yuba City, CA.

Gerald Glassgow, at 82, passed away on February 25, 2024. He is survived by his sons, Brett Joseph Glassgow, Trent and wife, Tracey Glassgow.

His funeral will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 10:00 am at Ramsey Funeral Home at 1175 Robinson Street, Oroville, CA.

The graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln Blvd., Oroville, CA, on the same day at 11:00 am. He will have an Honor Guard Service at the graveside.
