Nov. 6, 1937 May 25, 2016 Jimmy Ray Spears, 78, of Anderson, Mo., departed this life on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, in the comfort of his residence, after a brief illness. He entered this life on Nov. 6, 1937, in Anderson, born to the union of the late James M. and Delpha (Moore) Spears.

He was a lifelong area resident of Anderson. He was a brick mason and farmer throughout his life. He enjoyed life on the farm, raising cattle and coon hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchild­ren, Jared Spears and Charlee Bond; and three sisters, Rilta Spears, Delsie Lee Spears and Linda Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Lou Spears of Anderson; five children, Tammie Rodden and husband, Vince, of Neosho, Mo., Chris Spears of Goodman, Mo., Keith Bond and wife, Becky, of Sarcoxie, Mo., Jody Bond and wife, Doddie, of Anderson; and Dusty Spears also of Anderson, eight grandchild­ren; one great-granddaugh­ter; two brothers, Glen and Allen Spears, both of Anderson; two sisters, Oleta Bagby of Pineville, Mo., and Jeannine Keel of Anderson; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services were held graveside at New Bethel Cemetery on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 with Brother Ronnie Tosh officiatin­g.

Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearer­s were Chris Spears, Jody Bond, Austin Bond, Vince Rodden, Trevor Spears and Virgil Kiser, with Ashton Bond as an honorary pallbearer.

The family received friends Tuesday evening in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
