Vickey Jean Cullers

Dec. 26, 1950 June 12, 2016 Vickey Jean Cullers, 65, of Stella, Mo., died June 12, 2016, at Freeman West in Joplin, Mo. She was born Dec. 26, 1950, in Neosho, Mo., the daughter of Victor and Dolly Payne.

She married Robert Douglas “Doug” Cullers on Dec. 15, 1967, in Stella. She was a lifelong area resident and had worked as a customer service representative for Scholastic since 1999. She was a loving wife and mother and loved taking care of her grandchildren, enjoyed working in her yard and was a wonderful cook.

She was preceded in death by her father, Victor Payne; and father-in-law, Robert Cullers.

She is survived by her husband, Doug of the home; her mother, Dolly Payne of Anderson, Mo.; two children, Jeff Cullers and Sabra Cullers, both of Stella; brother, Dick Payne and wife, Kim, of Anderson; mother-inlaw, Phyllis Cullers of Stella; two brothers-in-law, Danny Cullers and wife, Janice, of Granby, Mo., and David Cullers of Stella; sister-in-law Becky Laney of Fort Smith, Ark.; five grandchildren, Bryce Cullers and wife, Kayla, Kya Cullers, Macie Engleman, Tucker Engleman and Kamrey Engleman; and two great-grandchildren, Brantley and Brelynn Cullers.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Clark Funeral Home in Granby, Mo. The Rev. Dennis Bergen will officiate.
