Shirlene Francis DeSpain

May 8, 1935 July 12, 2016 Shirlene Francis (Marney) DeSpain, 81, of Wheaton, Mo., died Tuesday, July 12, 2016.

She was born May 8, 1935, in Rocky Comfort, Mo., the daughter of Champ and Kate McNeill Marney. In 1954, she married Jim DeSpain and they had seven children.

She grew up and received her education in Rocky Comfort, where she graduated from high school. She resided in Kansas City several years and was employed as a secretary for an insurance company for nine years. In 1969, she moved to Rocky Comfort and was employed at ConAgra in Neosho, Mo.
