GOP Picks Hall For Sheriff’s Race

THERE WON’T BE ANY OTHER COUNTYWIDE RACES IN NOVEMBER

-

McDonald County is on track to see one race for local office this fall.

Republican voters selected incumbent sheriff Mike Hall as their candidate to face Independent Robert Evenson in the November election. Hall received 1,347 votes to defeat David McEntire, who received 935 votes.

The offices of Eastern and Western Commissioner, Assessor, Public Administrator, Coroner, and Surveyor are uncontested, with each of the incumbents re-elected.

Residents of Goodman voted to continue the local sales tax on titling motor vehicles, trailers, boats and outboard motors purchased from a licensed dealer outside of Missouri.

Of the 12,690 registered voters in McDonald County, 2,673 (21 percent) made it to their polling location to cast their vote.
