Sept. 12, 1930 Aug. 13, 2016 Ava Rose Daniels, 85, of Pineville, Mo., passed away Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, in Freeman Hospital, Neosho, Mo. She was born Sept. 12, 1930, in Rocky Comfort, Mo., the daughter of Roy and Maude Edmonds.

She graduated from high school in Stella, Mo. On Dec. 29, 1951, in Bentonvill­e, Ark., she was united in marriage to Oran Dale “Red” Daniels. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband on the farm. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, Widow To Widows group in Neosho, and she was on the board of the Stella Senior Center. Some of her favorite pastimes were dancing and embroideri­ng.

She was preceded her in death by her husband, “Red” Daniels, Sept. 17, 1984; a daughter, Nancy Daniels Myers; and three brothers, John Henry Edmonds, Billie Edmonds and Norman Edmonds.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Moran, of Joplin, Mo.; two sisters, Lela Mae Cook of Fairview, Mo., and Mary Faye DePriest of Anderson, Mo.; sister-in-law Pauline Edmonds of Neosho; four grandchild­ren, Rhonda, Somer, Christophe­r and Andrew; three great-grandchild­ren, Cheyane, Roper and Ali; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton, Mo. Pastor Roger Morey conducted the services.

Burial was in Dice Cemetery in Fairview, Mo.

Arrangemet­ns were handled by McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.

He enjoyed fishing, horses, rodeos and watching football. He attended the Maysville Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Etta Hill, of the home; three children, Johnetta Hill and David Hill of Maysville and Justin Hill of Bentonvill­e, Ark.; three grandchild­ren, Sawyer, Brooks and Tori; sister, Gwen Singleton of Maysville; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, at the Maysville Missionary Baptist Church in Maysville. Brother Raymond Scott officiated.

Burial with full military honors followed in the Maysville Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearer­s were Sawyer Johnson, Brooks Johnson, Cody Campbell, Jim Singleton, Shawn Sperry and Ray Scott. Everett Holly, Danny Frye, Neil Singleton, Kenny Drake and Charles Baker served as honorary pallbearer­s.

The family received friends Tuesday, Aug. 23, in the Southwest City Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.

Memorials are being directed to Maysville Missionary Baptist Church, and contributi­ons may be left at the funeral home.
