Southwest City Christmas Parade

The Southwest City Commercial Club will host the town’s annual Christmas Parade at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.

Decorative floats, classic cars, tractors, and horses will embark from the elementary school on Academy Street, travel east and turn onto Main Street.

Participan­ts will begin lining up at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of the American Legion. Those interested in registerin­g may pick up an entry form from Misty Reece on Saturday prior to the parade.

Southwest City’s Senior Center will be open to provide hot chocolate and coffee by donation for those lining the streets during the crisp morning hours. Biscuits and gravy will also be available.

Director Melissa Lance will be on-site from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. serving refreshmen­ts.
