Nov. 15, 1926 Nov. 27, 2016 Roxie A. Guinn, 90, Stella, Mo., died Nov. 27, 2016, at Freeman West in Joplin, Mo., following a sudden illness. She was born Nov. 15, 1926, in Stella, Mo., one of 14 children, the daughter of John A. and Edna VanSlyke.

She was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Stella High School, class of 1944. She married Clifford Guinn on May 20, 1944, in Bentonvill­e, Ark. She co-owned and operated a dairy farm with her husband, working alongside him all of their married life. She enjoyed reading, genealogy, traveling, sewing, gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with her family. She had been a member of the Stella Baptist Church and Sunday school teacher since the mid-1940s.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and 13 siblings.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford Guinn; her two sons, Klint Guinn and wife Vickie, and Keith Guinn and wife Sheila, all of Stella; six grandchild­ren, Joe Guinn, David Guinn, Jaysa Bookwalter, Jaclyn McCully, Justin Guinn and Rachel Neher; 12 great-grandchild­ren, Shelby, Taylor, Mason, Kaitlyn, Josie, Morgan, Alivia, Cole, Jaxson, Caleb, Remi, Wyatt and one to be born in April 2017; and special friends of over 63 years, James and Norma Mills, and John and Donna Carmichael.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at the Stella Baptist Church. The Rev. Jerry Yarnell and the Rev. Stanley Upchurch will officiate. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday Dec. 2 at Stella Baptist Church.

Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home of Neosho, Mo.
