Parking Problem Raised During SWC Council Meeting
The owner and operator of Allman General Auto and Paint in Southwest City appeared before the council seeking a resolution to a parking problem.
During the meeting on Tuesday, Ira Allman said that, on Friday mornings, the street in front of his business is blocked by stock trailers owned by patrons of Southwest City Meat Processing.
In addition to difficulty navigating the street, Allman says that the livestock within the trailers creates a mess in the street that customers must walk through.
Police Chief Bud Gow instructed Allman to ask kindly if management will leave space for safe passage.
“If you’re met with resistance, call me and I will handle it,” Gow said.
