James C. Abraham
June 10, 1940 Jan. 2, 2017 James C. Abraham, 76, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Jan. 2, 2017. He was born June 10, 1940 in Kansas City, Mo., to James H. and Margaret (Lee) Abra- ham.
He was raised in Noel, Mo., and graduated from Noel High School in 1958. He served his country by enlisting in the Army; stationed in Hawaii from 1960 to 1962. In 1964, he joined the Kansas City Fire Dept. as a Firefighter. He rose through the ranks to become a Battalion Chief, retiring in 2008. During retirement, he spent time with his family, fishing, traveling and enjoying his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Jean of the home; sons, James Ryan Abraham and Justin Abraham (Laney); brother, Danny Abraham; sisters, Barbara Daniel and Lamona Abraham; and grandchildren, Jack, Maryn and Vivienne.
All services will be held at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, and funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan 10. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
