Sept. 10, 1955 Jan. 25, 2017 Robert Talmadge “Bob” Hudson, 61, of Grove, Okla., departed this life suddenly on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, near Jay, Okla., from injuries sustained in a single engine aircraft accident.

He began his earthly journey on Sept. 10, 1955, in Duncan, Okla., son of Robert Talmadge Hudson Sr. and Mildred (Cole) Hudson. He was raised in Duncan and was a 1974 graduate of Duncan High School. He furthered his education at Liberty University, receiving his master’s in Theology.

On May 28, 1977, he was united in marriage to Pam Smith, and to this union three daughters and one son were born. He was a partner at Rose & McCrary P.C. Engineerin­g firm in Grove. After retiring, he transition­ed to his second career as Director of Flight Operations for Mexico Medical Missions. He and Pam moved to Mexico where they built a home and worked closely with the mission hospital and school. He loved flying and logged hundreds of hours in several different kinds of planes. He loved to watch Andy Griffith and the Green Bay Packers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Talmadge “R.T.” Hudson Sr.; and a grandson, George Tanner White.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 40 years, Pam Hudson, of the home; four children, Callie Hudson of Joplin, Mo., Casey White and husband Aaron, of Neosho, Mo., Tal Hudson III and wife Tracy of Shreveport, La., and Georgia Antillon and husband Oscar of Joplin; seven grandchild­ren, Braden, Bailey, Gracie, Cooper, Oscar, Amelia and Lane; his mother, Mildred Lane of Grove; two sisters, Robbie Milford and husband Greg of Houston, Texas, and Ginger Stewart and husband Brian of Pike’s Peak, Colo.; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church in Neosho. Larry Vancuren, Richard Hart, Bob Thomas, Frank Wiley and Sam Smith officiated.

Private family burial followed in the Hazelgreen Cemetery near Boulder City, Mo. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearer­s were Shane Lamb, Aaron White, Oscar Antillon, Braden Bennett, Ryan Myers and Philip Ledgerwood with Ton Villanueva Jimenez serving as an honorary pallbearer.

The family received friends on Monday evening at Calvary Baptist Church in Neosho.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are being directed to Mexico Medical Missions c/o the funeral home.

Arrangemen­ts were under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Mo.
