Youth Wrestlers Compete In 6 And Under State Tourney

McDonald County Youth wrestlers competed in the 2017 MO/USA 6 and Under State Tournament last weekend. The results are as follows:

6 and Under 45 lbs. — Carson Misner, third place

6 and Under 50 lbs. — Christian Benhumea, first place (state champion)

6 and Under 60 lbs. — Christopher Ramirez, third place

6 and Under 85 lbs. — Clayton Bunn, second place

6 and Under 100 lbs. — James Austin, first place (state champion)

McDonald County Youth wrestlers also competed in the 2017 MO/USA Rookie State Tournament. Those results are as follows

8 and Under 65 lbs. — Grant Walthall did not place

8 and Under 70 lbs. — Axeton Bateman, second place

10 and Under 75 lbs. — Ace Pendleton did not place

12 and Under 65 lbs. — Micheal Owens, fifth place

12 and Under 85 lbs. — Joab Pickle, third place

12 and Under 90 lbs. — Jacob Owens, third place

12 and Under 100 lbs. — Coty Dumond did not place

10 and Under 150 lbs. — Jagger Pickle, first place (state champion)

12 and Under 150 lbs. — Jagger Pickle, third place

14 and Under 115 lbs. — Justin Smith, fifth place

14 and Under 165 lbs. — Brianna White did not place

This weekend, the club heads to Lebanon, Mo., for MO Nationals on Feb. 4.
