Oct. 16, 1948 Feb. 4, 2017 First Sergeant Ret. James Woodrow Durham, 68, of Goodman, Mo., departed this life on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at his residence.

He entered this life on Oct. 16, 1948, in Neosho, Mo., son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Edith (Smith) Durham. He was raised in McDonald County, Mo., and was a graduate of Noel High School. He was a United States Army Retiree and a Vietnam Combat Veteran with the First Aviation Brigade, receiving the Legion of Merit and two Meritoriou­s Service Medals.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Leona Beamer and Barbara Greene.

He is survived by three sons, Patryck Durham of Aurora, Colo., Micheal Durham of Lebanon, Mo., and Benjamin Durham of Belgium; a daughter, Rebecca Durham of Anderson, Mo.; a stepdaught­er, Morgan Williams of Rocky Comfort, Mo.; six grandchild­ren; and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services with full military honors were held Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at the Lanagan Cemetery in Lanagan, Mo. Pastor Cecil Hall officiated.
