Community Breakfast

Abounding Grace/ Brit Simcha Torah will be providing a community breakfast at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at 207 E. Main in Anderson.

Free Dinner

Free Dinner at the Anderson Methodist Church, 702 Patterson St., with new serving hours from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 15. Hot soups, sandwiches, veggies and fruits, salads, desserts and drinks will be served.

Free Community Dinner

There will be a free community dinner served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, at Noel United Methodist Church.

On the menu will be ham, potatoes, baked beans, fruit salad, dessert and coffee/tea.

Stella Senior Center

The Stella Senior Center will have a dinner and dance on Friday evening, March 10. At 5:30 p.m., they will serve chili dogs, chips and all the “fixins” with dessert and drink for $5.

At 7 p.m., dance to the music of “Frosty and The Roadhogs” for $3.

Hay School

The Newton County MU Extension will hold a Regional Hay School from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, April 4 and 11, in the Newton County Extension office.

The cost is $40 per person or $70 per couple sharing materials. A light dinner will be provided. Register by March 17 by calling 417-4559500.

Topics will include Meeting Cattle Nutrition Needs, Economics of Hay Production, Hay Storage and Feeding Management, Forages for SW MO Hay/Quality Issues/ Hay Testing, Hay Fertility Management and Hay and Baleage Harvest Systems.
