Aug. 18, 1938 June 14, 2017 Elizabeth Eileen Garrett Cantrell, 78, of Southwest City, Mo., was called to heaven on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at her residence in Southwest City with her loving family by her side. She was born on Aug. 18, 1938, at Noel, Mo., to the late Omer Luther and Minnie (Doty) Garrett.

She grew up on a farm west of Noel. She attended and graduated from the Noel High School. She worked at Emerson Electric in Rogers, Ark., drove a grain truck to elevators in southweste­rn Kansas, did sales at Midwest Furniture in Noel, and was a saw operator for Hudson Foods in Noel. She served on the Shoal Creek Baptist Associatio­n WMU leadership team a number of years and WMU Director at the Noel First Baptist Church, Peter’s Prairie Baptist Church and Sublette Southern Baptist Church in Sublette, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dennis Leroy Cantrell; two brothers, Luther J. Garrett and Harold (Red) Garrett; and a sister, Roberta Garrett Quarles.

She is survived by three children, C. Nadine Brooker of Bella Vista, Ark., D. Eugene Cantrell of Jay, Okla., Elbert Dean Cantrell and wife, Dixie of Southwest City; eight grandchild­ren; 15 great-grandchild­ren; and a host of other relatives and wonderful friends who will dearly miss her.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the Calvary Stampede Cowboy Church in Southwest City. Pastor the Reverend Bob Easter officiated. Burial followed in the Lee Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Ark. Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017, in the Southwest City Chapel of the Ozark funeral home. The family received friends at this time.
