Groups Team Up For Fish Fry, Play

The Young Outdoorsme­n United organizati­on and the McDonald County Historical Society are teaming up to offer a delicious fish fry and a family-friendly play Thursday night.

Those who take advantage of the special deal can enjoy a great dinner, followed by a delightful play, and save a few bucks doing both.

The Outdoorsme­n will serve the fish and the fixings from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, at the Pineville Community Center.

The McDonald County Historical Society will present “Snake County Stories” at 7:30 p.m. that night at the Pineville Christian Church.

Cost of the fish fry is $6.50 per adult and $4 per child, ages 12 and younger. Those who show their Snake County Stories play ticket will be charged only $5 per adult at the fish fry, and $3 per child at the fish fry.

Young Outdoorsme­n United

is hosting the fish fry as a fundraiser and the Historical Society is presenting “Snake County Stories” to highlight McDonald County’s history.

Directed by NaTasha Davis, “Snake County Stories” is a light-hearted and family-friendly production. Local talent will perform with live music and sounds.

Show times are:

7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, at Pineville Christian Church

7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at Anderson Elementary School

7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Southwest City Arts Center

Tickets are available at Arvest, Cornerston­e and First Community Banks. Tickets also will be available at the door.

All locations will sell tickets for all three performanc­es.

Adult tickets are $8 each; children’s tickets, for ages 3 to 13, are $4 each.
