Jan. 22, 1949 Aug. 17, 2017 Marilyn Kay Hodson, 68, of Anderson, Mo., departed this life on Thursday evening, Aug. 17, 2017.

She was born

Jan. 22, 1949, daughter of the late Chester and

Ruby (Dean) Epperson.

Marylin (Muggins) was a lifelong resident of Anderson. She enjoyed being a homemaker and the outdoors. She had a great love for traveling to the mountains and enjoyed spoiling her dogs. She was employed by Pleasant Grove Loading and Hodson Cattle Company for numerous years, along with raising birds for Simmons.

On Jan. 7, 1967, she was united in marriage to Harvey Gene Hodson. To this union two sons were born, Leafrey Gene (Lee) and Michael Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her parents (Ruby Dean and Chester Epperson); eight siblings, twins Goldie and Chester Epperson, Carol Epperson, Nova Epperson, Merle Epperson (Sonny), Twyla Plummer, Hope Drake, Oleta Bond; and one niece, Camilla Anderson (Cammie).

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Harvey Hodson of Anderson; two sons, Lee Hodson and his wife Lisa of Anderson and Michael Hodson of Stella, Mo.; three granddaugh­ters, Ashley Richmond and her husband Clayton of Rogers, Ark., Whitlee Hodson of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Skye Musik and her husband Curtis of Wheaton, Mo.; two grandsons, Alex Hodson of Powell, Mo., Tanner Hodson of Anderson; and four great-grandchild­ren.

Her genuine love and care will be greatly missed by her many beloved family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a future time.

Arrangemen­ts are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson.
