Mr. Franklin Ray Wil­son, 74, of Lana­gan, Mo., was born on Sept.

4, 1942, in Alpena Pass, Ark., to the late Arthur and Hilda (Cock­rell) Wil­son. He passed away on Sun­day, Sept., 3, 2017, at his home af­ter years of de­clin­ing health.

He lived in Col­cord, Sand Springs and Jay, Okla., be­fore mov­ing to Mis­souri in 1965. He grad­u­ated from Jay High School in 1963. On Sept. 21, 1965, he was united in holy mat­ri­mony to Betty Wee­ley of Jay. He fol­lowed the Bap­tist faith through­out his life. For many years he worked at Hud­son Foods in Noel, Mo. He loved fish­ing, play­ing board games with his grand­chil­dren and be­ing at all fam­ily func­tions.

He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents; his first daugh­ter, Maggie Kath­leen Wil­son; and two sis­ters, Joyce Phillips and Eva Amos.

Franklin is sur­vived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Wil­son of the home; two daugh­ters, Lori Wil­son of Vinita, Okla. and Joanna Garza and hus­band, Car­los, of Anderson, Mo.; a son, Tim­o­thy Wil­son of De­catur, Ark.; nine grand­chil­dren; twelve great grand­chil­dren; four sis­ters, Lil­lian Glenn of Jay, Okla., Betty Woods and hus­band, Clarence, of Col­cord, Okla., Vi Rogers of Eucha, Okla. and Arta Faye Ca­gle of Jay, Okla.; sev­eral nieces and neph­ews; as well as a host of other fam­ily and friends.

Funeral ser­vices for Mr. Wil­son are 10 a.m. Fri­day, Septem­ber 8, 2017, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Earl Wil­loughby of­fi­ci­at­ing. Burial will fol­low in the South­west City Ceme­tery. Those hon­or­ing his life by serv­ing as pall­bear­ers are Car­los Garza, Arthur Garza, Steve Mucci, Joe Man­ion, Bob Wee­ley and Frank Mullin. Frank David Is­rael Garza and An­thony Mucci will be serv­ing as hon­orary pall­bear­ers. The fam­ily will re­ceive friends on Thurs­day evening from 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
