Oct. 21, 1933 Sept. 25, 2017 Minnie Marie Gibson, 83, of Anderson, Mo., died on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at the Freeman Hospital in Neosho, Mo., after months of declining health. She entered this life on Oct. 21, 1933, in Stella, Mo., born to Rufus Henry and Lillie Sealy Beaver England. She was a lifelong area resident.

On May 1, 1952, in Bentonvill­e, Ark., she was united in marriage to Owen Victor Gibson and to this union two children were born. She believed in hard work. She worked with her sister, Mary, at Ragland Bag Company; spent 21 years as co-owner with her husband in the operation of their furniture and appliance business in Anderson; 29 years as a contract bulk mail delivery agent; and 10 years as an Oxford home health caregiver. She enjoyed caring for her pets, tending to her houseplant­s and flowers, fashion and jewelry.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Ragland, Verlie Spears and Neomi England.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Owen Gibson of the home; two children, Vicki Blecha and husband, Kevin, of Anderson and Randy Gibson and wife, Nina, of Kansas City, Mo.; one granddaugh­ter, Marsi Anderson and husband, Dusty, of Anderson; two great-grandchild­ren, Scout and Carli Watson; her caregiver, Ronnie Baker of Anderson; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held graveside on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at the Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson with Pastor Pam Jackson officiatin­g.

Memorials are being directed to the Anderson United Methodist Church c/o the funeral home.
