Oct. 5, 1943 Sept. 25, 2017 David Lewis Schuler, 73, of Centerton, Ark., died Monday, Sept. 25, 2017. He was born Oct. 5, 1943, in Kansas City, Mo., to Walter Lewis Schuler and Edna

Mae Fowler Schuler and raised on a farm in McDonald County, Mo.

Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from a career in grocery management, but his life revolved around his family. He adored his extremely close bond with Patrick, sharing countless hours and adventures together. He was dedicated to coaching baseball, cheering on his children, grandchild­ren, and their friends; handing out candy to kids at the ballpark, where he was known as “Coach Grandpa.” In later years, he treasured his time with his buddies shooting pool at the Rogers Senior Center. For more than 35 years, he was the devoted husband of Lesa Schuler with whom he renewed their vows in August. He also loved his dogs, especially Toni and Teddy.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Miesner, Don Miesner and David M. Schuler; three sisters, Rose Steele, Shirley Kennedy and Donna Schuler; and grandson, Patrick Nicolas Cawthon.

He is survived by his wife, Lesa; daughter, Sandee Cawthon (Tony) of Rogers, Ark.; two sons, Don Schuler (Lori) of Rogers and Brad Schuler (Kris) of California; three brothers, Gary Schuler (Cathy) of Arizona, Paul “Luke” Schuler of Grove, Okla., and Chuck Schuler (Barbara) of Anderson, Mo.; eight grandchild­ren, Cash Cawthon (Savannah) of Bella Vista, Ark., Trey Cawthon of Washington, Connor Cawthon and Christian Schuler (Leslie) of Rogers, Andrew Schuler of Tulsa, Okla., Zachary Schuler, Kohl Schuler, and Sydnee Schuler all of California; his great-granddaugh­ter, Lily Cawthon of Bella Vista; a brother-in-law, Jody Koroush (Becky) of Missouri; a sisterin-law, Mona Koroush of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Services were held Sept. 28, 2017, in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Inurnment within Fayettevil­le National Cemetery will be at a later date.

Arrangemen­ts were under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
