Lanagan PD Shutting Down Drug Activity
The Lanagan Police Department has been policing illegal drug activity in its area.
“We’re pushing forward. The Police Department has been aggressively pursuing illegal drug activities,” Chief Chris Creekmore said. “A lot of meth, prescription drugs, both in town and on the highway, which we have been pursuing and making headway.
“We’ve increased patrol and staffed new officers and switched from reactive to proactive policing. Instead of just responding to calls, we’re finding the crimes as they’re being committed.”
How does the Police Department do this?
“Increased patrol and increased vigilance and a good working relationship with our citizens,” Creekmore said.
The department acquired two new vehicles this year.
“We acquired surplus vehicles from Pineville and Anderson,” Creekmore said. “Both are (Ford) Crown Victorias.”
