Lant Hosts Medicare Part D Meetings
Rep. Bill Lant announced he will again host meetings to assist senior citizens regarding Medicare Part D, which is the federal program for prescription drug coverage.
Representatives from the CLAIM organization will be available at computer terminals to help with the process. CLAIM is a publicly funded, free counseling service for Missourians on Medicare. Meetings will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at the McDonald County Library, 808 Bailey Road in Pineville, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., and at the Neosho Newton County Library, Seneca Branch, 1216 Cherokee in Seneca from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.
However, in order to reduce waiting time, appointments may be scheduled by calling CLAIM at 1-800-390-3330. Please bring your Medicare card and a list of your prescription medication to the meeting. If you are unable to attend but have questions about prescription drug coverage, you may contact CLAIM for assistance at 1-800-390-3330.
Seniors may switch plans without penalty until Dec. 7. There have been many changes made to the Medicare Part D plans offered in Missouri, and these meetings will provide opportunities for seniors to review their coverage and enroll in the plan that is best suited to meet their needs.
If you have further questions, contact Rep. Lant at 573-751-9801.
