Sharon Malcom
Oct. 17, 1942 Oct. 13, 2017 Sharon Malcom, 74, of Jane, Mo., died on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at the McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Mo. She was born on Oct. 17, 1942, in Washington, D.C., to Joseph and Anne Cavanaugh.
She was married to Edward Malcom for 56 years and an active member of the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Noel, Mo. She enjoyed devoting her time to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, genealogy, and volunteered with White Rock Fire Department.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Malcom Sr.; four sons, Ed Malcom Jr. and wife, Karyn, of Bella Vista, Ark., Bob Malcom and wife, Julie, of Mt. Ayr, Iowa, Steve Malcom and wife, Carol, of Frankfort, Ill., Danny Malcom and wife, Michelle, of Jane; three daughters, Beth Slack and husband, Sean of Bentonville, Ark., Megan Hicks and husband, Scott of Bella Vista, and Erin Malcom and fiancé, Steve Chrisman of Olive Branch, Miss.; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Joseph Cavanaugh and wife, Stephanie of Fredericksburg, Texas, Betty Simpson and husband, Stan of Oakland, Calif., Danny Cavanaugh and wife, Micki of West Fork, Ark., and Patty Hendrix and husband, Ray of Goshen, Ark.; many nieces and nephews and greatnieces and -nephews.
She was laid to rest at the Jane Cemetery on Oct. 16, 2017, in a private ceremony.
A celebration of life will be held at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 4, 2017, with Jamie Cope officiating. All friends and family are welcome.
