Carol Ann Cooper
April 6, 1941 Jan. 18, 2018 Carol Ann (Harris) Cooper, 76, of Southwest City, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 18, 2018, after a long struggle with cancer.
She was born April 6, 1941, to Andy and Margaret (Watkins) Harris in
Yukon, Okla.
She married Joe Cooper in February of 1999 in Miami, Okla. She worked at Gravette Medical Center as a certified nurse’s aide for 20 years. She enjoyed collecting chicken plates and dolls of all kinds.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Cooper; great-grandson, Cooper Little; granddaughter, Tamisha Cooper; grandmother, Bertha Owens; and two sons-in-law, Adam Gentry and Billy Whisnant.
Survivors include two sisters, Gail Halbert of Dalhart, Texas, Sue Cason (Dale) of Edmond, Okla.; eight children, Kim Gentry of Yukon, Okla., Curtis Ogle (Karen) of Yukon, Cleta Whisnant of Cromwell, Okla., Gay Whisnant of Cromwell, Clayton Ogle (Barbie) of Gravette, Ark., Margaret Mathews (James) of Joplin, Mo., Jeff Cooper (Ginger) of Southwest City, Lana Martin (Scott) of Gravette; and 24 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at the Southwest City Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Pastor Stewart Henderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Southwest City Cemetery in Southwest City.
