McDonald County High School senior Cole DelosSantos traveled to Arlington, Texas, to play in the BlueGrey Football All-American Bowl on Dec. 16, 2017.

DelosSantos was one of the 90 top senior recruits selected from over 6,750 players who competed at the program’s regional and super combines earlier in the year for the chance to be a Blue-Grey All-American. These talented young athletes from across the United States, who once fiercely competed against one another in the regional and super combines, banded together to form two teams, coached by former NFL players such as Mark McMillian, Ray Crockett and George Teague, as they displayed their talent and skills to the nation.

The weekend activities included a jersey presentation ceremony, media dinner for players and families, media interviews, Q and A session for players to talk with the NFL coaches, take photos, and get advice on any questions they may have about the next step of their careers, and two days of rigorous practice.

On Dec. 18, 2017, the East and the West All-American game was held in AT&T stadium. DelosSantos, who played for the East team coached by George Teague, shined as a wide receiver when he made two firstdown catches. DelosSantos also made a touchdown in the third quarter to tie the West at 10-10.

The game was live streamed by ESPN3 and Impact Football Network and can still be seen on YouTube.
