Shirley Ruth Fletcher
Dec. 31, 1940 Feb. 2, 2018 Shirley Ruth Fletcher, 77, of Anderson, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Dec. 31, 1940, in Tiff City, Mo., to Albert and Margaret (Arnett) Ledford. She was a lifelong area resident. On Nov. 13, 1993, she married Wilbert Fletcher. She worked 20 years at the Tiff City Store and she enjoyed cooking, tending to the needs of her home, spending time with her family and church gatherings. She was a member of Buffalo Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, Louise, Norma and Lewis; and a great-grandson, Tanner Quinn.
Survivors include her husband, Wilbert; five children, Leona Lee (Ed) of Aurora, Mo., Bonnie McDaniel of Seneca, Mo., Dannie McLaughlin (Annetta) of Wyandotte, Okla., Darrin Campbell (Cheri) of Anderson, and Shelly Webb of Little Rock, Ark.; two stepsons, Leon Fletcher (Bobbie) of Bentonville, Ark. and Brian Fletcher (Christy) of Neosho, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; two sisters, Bertha Dohle and Barbars Sutton; and a brother, Johnnie Ledford.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Buffalo Creek Baptist Church with Brother Jared Proctor officiating. Burial followed in the Cummings Cemetery in Tiff City.
