Allen Floyd Cooper, 91, of Grove, Okla., died Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at his home after weeks of declining health.

He was born March 17, 1926, in Southwest City, Mo., to Floyd Milo and Maymie Belle (Seay) Cooper. On

June 21, 1947, he married Ruby Lee Ferrell in Columbus, Kan. He was a truck driver most of his life. At 18, he joined the Navy and served in San Diego and the Far East in WWII as a Seaman Second Class. He was a member of New Life Church in Anderson, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Ruby Lee Cooper; his parents; five siblings; a son, Sam Cooper; one grandson, Jackie Cooper; and a great-granddaugh­ter, Jayden Mestrovich.

Survivors include three sons, Allen Cooper (Valerie) of Arlington, Va., John Cooper (Randi) of Pryor, Okla., Russ Cooper (Karla) of Neosho, Mo.; five daughters, Mary Lou Roark of Anderson, Betty Mestrovich (Ken) of Bentonvill­e, Ark., Melanie Witham (Rod) of Southwest City, Dorlene Atkinson of Willard, Mo., and Peggy Watts (Gerald) of Anderson; and 21 grandchild­ren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 1, at New Life Church in Anderson with Brother Tom Ellis officiatin­g. Burial with full military honors followed in the Southwest City Cemetery.
