Business Expo

There will a variety of vendors that include financial and investment advisers, health-care providers, campgrounds and tourism, longterm care facilities, farm and lawn equipment, gift shops, home repair, insurance consultants, attorneys, schools and more. There are profit and nonprofit vendors. There will be door prizes, in addition to the alwayspopular giveaways by vendors.

There were a total of 71 vendors last year, and this year’s expo is expected to exceed that number. There are still a few open vendor spots. To reserve a booth, email MCCCDirectorinfo@mcdonaldcountychamber.org, bwilliams@ehometownbank.com, or mray@ehometownbank.com.

“This is all about opportunity, so don’t miss the opportunity to showcase your business to over 500 people in five hours at the 2018 Business and Health Fair,” a Chamber news release states.

Health Screenings

The dedicated members of the Freeman Screen Team will offer a variety of low-cost health screenings from 8 a.m. to noon. They will offer individual assessments for as low as $10; this assessment includes blood pressure test, lipid panel, glucose test, weight and body fat composition, and an osteoporosis screening. There will be additional services provided for other fees. The Freeman Screen Team is comprised of compassionate registered nurses and phlebotomists who strive to serve the community. They work to provide area residents with access to preventative screenings and detection software in an effort to create healthier communities. By bringing low-cost health screenings to various locations throughout the year, they hope to help those who might not seek medical services otherwise. These screenings also allow team members to refer local residents to a physician in the event of concerning test results. For more information, contact Susan Woods at mcdonaldadmin@socket.net.
