Editor,

I think it is sad for the town of Noel to not be able to get the property tax passed. Most towns have a property tax which in turn helps keep a healthy budget. Without a workable budget, it is very difficult to take advantage of matching grants that come available to us. Towns that have seen success attribute success to the tax.

Change is inevitable, and I feel the change will be steadily worse. I encourage the people to come together, stay involved with this community and its government, and maybe together we can come up with another solution to the problems that we face.
