Mus­tangs Gain Golf Win Over Neosho

Lily All­man and Sam White­hill led the McDon­ald County High golf team to a 197-210 win over Neosho on April 17 at Elk River Golf Course in Noel.

All­man, one of two fresh­man girls on the team, shot a 47 to lead the Mus­tangs while White­hill was one stroke back with a 48. Girls must play form the same tees as the boys dur­ing the spring sea­son.

Round­ing out the var­sity scores for McDon­ald County were Walker Keith with a 50, Tim Shields with a 52, Pey­ton McKee with a 55 and Blake Har­rell with a 64.

Ju­nior var­sity scores for McDon­ald county were Matthew and Luke Dud­ley with 61s and Anna Mead with a 65. Neosho did not have a ju­nior var­sity team.

McDon­ald County’s was at the Big 8 Con­fer­ence Cham­pi­onships on April 24 in Mount Ver­non.

Golf dis­tricts are set for April 30 at Bri­ar­brook Coun­try Club in Carl Junc­tion.
