Noel Woman’s Club Holds Meet­ing

The April meet­ing of the Noel Woman’s Club was called to or­der by Pres­i­dent Melissa. The Pledge of Al­le­giance and Lord’s Prayer were re­cited. Roll call was taken with 12 mem­bers and one vis­i­tor present. Min­utes were read by Sec­re­tary Deb­bie and ap­proved. The trea­surer’s re­port was given by Bon­nie.

Linda’s re­search on the club name shows that it should be Noel Woman’s Club, not Women’s Club.

There was a dis­cus­sion about us­ing Robert’s Rules of Or­der for the meet­ings, and Vicki will send copies of rules to mem­bers.

The Spring Bake Sale was held April 21 in front of Harps. All money goes to­ward com­mu­nity bet­ter­ment.

Linda pre­sented the schol­ar­ship ap­pli­cants for re­view, and two Noel girls and one al­ter­nate were se­lected to re­ceive the Noel Woman’s Club $250 schol­ar­ships for this year. The se­lec­tions will be an­nounced at the School Awards Assem­bly in May. The club thanks all who ap­plied.

The do­na­tion to the sum­mer ball pro­gram was tabled un­til more in­for­ma­tion about the progress be­ing made at the ball field can be ob­tained.

The pro­gram for the evening was a silent plant auc­tion. Ev­ery­one fi­nal­ized their bids and left with a plant.

Hostesses for the evening were Vicki and Gla­dys. The Woman’s Club’s next meet­ing will be May 8, and the hostesses will be Linda and Jo. Kim­berly Bell will present the pro­gram. Ev­ery­one is wel­come to at­tend. For ad­di­tional in­for­ma­tion, call Melissa at 417-475-3599.
