He was born March

8, 1944, in Pineville, Mo., to James and Lila Ann (Tay­lor) Hat­field. He was in the U.S. Navy, serv­ing in the Viet­nam War. He mar­ried Mar­lene Good­son on May 29, 2004, at the Bap­tist Church in Cole­camp, Mo. He en­joyed hunt­ing, fishing and bar­be­cu­ing.

He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents; two broth­ers, James Carl Hat­field and Danny Hat­field; two sis­ters, Ellen E. Hat­field and Janet K. Hat­field/Marsh.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife, Mar­lene Hat­field of the home; his chil­dren, Vivian Hat­field of Mis­souri, Don­nie Hat­field of Mis­sis­sippi, Cleta Hat­field Hank­ins of Ok­la­homa, Shelly Casey of Florida; stepchil­dren, Ed­die Kuhn of Mis­souri, Bob­bie Kuhn of Florida, Mark Hash of North Dakota, Dustin Hash of Kentucky, Donna Hash of Ok­la­homa; two sis­ters, Linda Cramer of Ten­nessee, Ruth John­son of Mis­souri; and 32 grand­chil­dren.

Fu­neral ser­vices were Wed­nes­day, May 2, 2018, at the An­der­son Chapel of the Ozark Fu­neral Home. The Rev. Bob Hol­loway of­fi­ci­ated. Burial fol­lowed in the New Bethel Ceme­tery in An­der­son.
