Ret. Lt. Col. Billy Lee Ralston, 87, of Southwest City, Mo., died Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Clarity Pointe in Fayettevil­le, Ark.

He was born on May 7, 1930, in Southwest City, to Denver and Juanita (Pendleton) Ralston. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma. On Sept. 7, 1951, he married Phyllis J. Noftsger. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during Korea and Vietnam, retiring in 1972, after 21 years of dedicated service. He worked for Hudson Foods, House of Hope in Grove, Okla., and Tyson Foods. He enjoyed sports cars, fishing, hunting and caring for his animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife of 61 years, Phyllis Ralston.

Survivors include his daughter, Holly Brown (Bob) of Omaha, Neb.; sons, Kurtis Ralston of Dayton, Texas, Karl Ralston (Terri) of Bella Vista, Ark. and Kyle Ralston of Lawrence, Kan.; and six grandchild­ren.

Funeral services with full military honors were held Tuesday, May 1, 2018, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home with Pastors Richard and Linda Hart officiatin­g.

Memorials are being directed to the Southwest City Cemetery Care Fund or the Humane Society c/o the funeral home.
