Dorothy Caroline Mustain
Oct. 7, 1947 Jan. 30, 2020 Dorothy Caroline Mustain, 72, of Powell, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Oct. 7, 1947, in Larned, Kan., to Woodrow
Wilson and Marcella
M a e (Welsch) Wampler. On
Nov. 9, 1989, she married William Junior Mustain. She was a seamstress throughout her life, working at Granby Garment Factory prior to her 28-year career with La-Z-Boy in Neosho. She assisted in the operation of Mustain Camp Ground in Powell and enjoyed sewing, softball, bowling and being outdoors hunting and fishing. She was a member of Living Word Mission Church in Simco.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Rosemary Bettes.
Survivors are her husband of 30 years, Junior Mustain of the home; six children, Tom Ward (Sabrina) of Granby, Karen Connell (Bruce) of Neosho, Frank Ward (Lori) of Neosho, Rebecca Mustain of Joplin, Lisa Mustain and Rick Ballard of Duenweg, and Tammie Hansen (Curtis) of Neosho; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, Woodrow Wampler of Dewey, Ariz., and Eddie Wampler of Mesa, Ariz.; and three sisters, Sonia Sittingdown of Bonner Springs, Kan., Ella Cook of Valparaiso, Ind., and Sharon Morones of Mesa.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Brother Billy Joe Gentry officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
