Dec. 2

• B.J. Goodman, of Ozark Funeral Homes in Anderson, met with the commission to discuss purchases related to covid-19 and the impact it has had on his business. Commission­ers told Goodwin to fill out a CARES Act Reimbursem­ent Request packet and return it to the county clerk’s office prior to Dec. 15.

• Commission­ers met with Bill Ewan, a representa­tive for Victor L. Phillips. After some discussion, presiding commission­er Bill Lant motioned to purchase a 612G wheel loader for $162,500 and a CX210D STD LC excavator for $198,000; with forks at a cost of $6,000 and a grapple at a cost of $22,875. All equipment will be delivered to McDonald County in December 2020 or as soon as possible. McDonald County will pay half of the invoice amount in December 2020 and the remaining balance in January 2021. The motion passed unanimousl­y. Prices are based on MoDOT’s state bid contract.

Dec. 7

• Ron Zucca and Chris Hat met with the commission regarding issues in the Rocky Comfort area. Zucca and Hay stressed the need for additional road signs and more McDonald County Sheriff deputy patrols in the area.

Dec. 9

• Laura Pope, the assessor, met with the commission to discuss aerial imagery for McDonald County. Commission­ers stated they would table the matter and do more research on her request.

• Commission­er-elects Jamey Cope and Rick Lett attended the morning session of the commission meeting.

• The commission signed and approved accounts payable in the amount of $318,618.67.
