8 PM 7 L.A.’s Finest As Syd and McKenna’s (Gabrielle Union, Jessica Alba) pursuit of Knox comes to a head, they finally open up to the Bens (Duane Martin, Zach Gilford) about this re-entry into their personal pasts in the new episode “Book of Secrets.” Individually, McKenna confronts an impossible choice involving her past and her future, and Syd tries to deal with a complicated family crisis. Barry Sloane, Rebecca Budig, Jake Busey and Laz Alonso guest star; Ernie Hudson and Ryan McPartlin also star.

8 PM ( ESPN) NFL Football It’s a battle of the have-nots of the AFC East tonight at MetLife Stadium, where Sam Darnold and the New York Jets hope the home field can produce a badly-needed win against Cam Newton and the New England Patriots. While the Pats have struggled around .500 in their first year post-Brady, the Jets have been much worse, losing their first six games and looking every bit like a team without competent management and coaching. 8 PM ( TCM) MOVIE Lolita Vladimir Nabokov’s startling novel about middleaged Prof. Humbert Humbert and his bittersweet pursuit of the nymphet of his dreams probably benefited from director Stanley Kubrick’s trademark coolness, which tones down the more salacious aspects of the premise in favor of what often comes close to screwball comedy. James Mason, Sue Lyon and Shelley Winters star; Nabokov wrote the screenplay, which was nominated for an Oscar. The film airs as part of TCM’s month-long salute to Winters, who received a Golden Globe Award nomination for her performance.

9 PM 7 Filthy Rich After Margaret (Kim Cattrall) delivers an ultimatum to all the children, Ginger (Melia Kreiling) decides to help Rose (Aubrey Dollar) stage a fashion show to unveil her new design collection in the new episode “2 Corinthians 3:17.” Meanwhile, Jason (Mark L. Young) gets closer to Veronica (guest star Gia Carides), leading to an unexpected revelation about his brother. Rachel York also guest stars; Gerald McRaney and Corey Cott also star.

9 PM ( STRZ) MOVIE Not Carol Carol Coronado’s friends and neighbors considered her to be a model mother before the horrifying day in May 2014 when she killed her three young daughters. Like hundreds of other mothers in the grip of postpartum psychosis, Coronado was suffering from a public health epidemic that is invisible and all but impossible to predict. With exclusive access to the Coronado family and their legal team, filmmakers Eamon Harrington and John Watkin explore this taboo world of maternal mental health. 10 PM ( FOOD) Christmas Cookie Challenge Co-hosts Eddie Jackson and Ree Drummond welcome five daring cookie masters to Season 4 of this festive competition series, which tests their kitchen skills over two rounds that are based on a given yuletide theme, such as Santa’s workshop or Christmas carols. Judges Gesine Prado and Jason Smith help determine which bakers have the right stuff, and which one eventually walks away with a prize worth $10,000.

10 PM ( AMC) Soulmates The Season 1 finale, “The (Power) Ballad of Caitlin Jones,” focuses primarily on the title character (played by Betsy Brandt, “Life in Pieces”), who has waited several frustrating years for her soulmate match. At long last, her dreams seem to be coming true when she’s paired up with a handsome doctor, Nathan (J.J. Feild). It’s only over time that Caitlin discovers Nathan is harboring a dark secret.

10 PM ( HBO) Industry This new British drama, which completed production in 2019 before the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, explores the London world of high finance through the eyes of upstate New Yorker Harper Stern (Myha’la Herrold), one of several young hopefuls competing for a limited number of permanent positions in a top international investment bank. Marisa Abela, Harry Lawtey, David Jonsson, Will Tudor, Conor MacNeill and Ken Leung co-star.
