8 PM 2 Finding Your Roots With Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Airing in anticipation of tomorrow’s observation of Veterans Day, a new episode called “War Stories” finds host Henry Louis Gates Jr. exploring the roots of actors Julianne Moore and Bill Hader and artist Kehinde Wiley. As the episode title suggests, the common thread in each personal history is a focus on how their ancestors’ selfless military service left an indelible mark on their families, as well as on their country.

8 PM 39 Swamp Thing Haunted by the ghost of her ill-fated childhood friend, Abby (Crystal Reed) must confront both her past with the Sunderland clan as well as the dark forces currently at play in Marais in the new episode “Drive All Night.” Swamp Thing (Derek Mears) uses his uncanny powers when Abby is threatened, but it’s Matt (Henderson Wade) who ultimately saves the day. The incident further drives a wedge between Swamp Thing and the human world.

9 PM 2 Rise of the Nazis This threepart documentary series chronicles how Adolf Hitler and the Nazis rose to power and, over a four-year period, transformed Germany from a liberal democracy to a dictatorship. The opener, “Politics,” goes inside the corridors of power where Germany’s top political mastermind sees an opportunity to exploit the sudden popularity of the Nazis for his own ends. That move ignites a chain of miscalculations, back-room deals and power grabs that propel Hitler from the political fringes to the heart of government. 9 PM 7 NEXT In the new episode

Finally, as North Carolina is about to start reopening, Whitney receives another blow with the news that Chase is going to become a father, just not with her.

10:01 PM 6 Transplant As he and Amira (Sirena Gulamgaus) move into a new home environment, Bash (Hamza Haq) devotes part of his hours at work trying to calm the worries of a couple expecting their first child in the new episode “Birth and Rebirth.” Elsewhere, Bishop (John Hannah) tests Mags’ (Laurence Leboeuf) mettle by personally evaluating her performance in the ER, while Theo (Jim Watson) is surprised by his own reaction in the face of an altercation. Ayisha Issa also stars.

10:02 PM ( TLC) Welcome to Plathville That little slice of heaven Kim and Barry Plath envisioned when they decided to raise their children on a 55-acre farm where the kids would be shielded from the outside world is splintering as this series enters Season 2, with several of the younger Plaths pushing boundaries and questioning their imposed lifestyle.
