6 PM ( GOLF) PGA Tour Golf As winter comes into full force across much of the country, a sporting event from Hawaii is most welcome. So it is that golfers will tee it up today at the sun-soaked Plantation Course at Kapalua on the island of Maui in the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Justin Thomas won for the second time here a year ago, his superb wedge setting up a birdie on the third playoff hole to defeat Patrick Reed by a stroke. 8 PM & Mr. Mayor Ted Danson returns to the NBC comedy lineup in this smart new sitcom created by “30 Rock” colleagues Tina Fey and Robert Carlock.
The Emmy-winning actor stars as retired businessman Neil Bremer, who decides to run for mayor of Los Angeles just to prove he’s still got it. Spoiler alert: He wins, but now Neil must figure out what he stands for and how he’s going to run this ultra-high-maintenance town. Holly Hunter, Vella Lovell (“Crazy ExGirlfriend”), Kyla Kenedy (“Speechless”) and Bobby Moynihan co-star.
8 PM _ Hell’s Kitchen Gordon Ramsay’s culinary competition series gets a flashy new setting as the temperamental chef, restaurateur and host moves this show to Las Vegas, home to the world’s first Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen restaurant in Caesars Palace. For the first time, 16 aspiring chefs from across the country roll the dice and head to Sin City, hoping to reap high stakes rewards while risking some bruising punishments, all dispensed with a Vegas flair. At stake for the winner is a head chef position at a Ramsay eatery in Lake Tahoe.
8 PM * Celebrity Wheel of Fortune
Two authentically iconic game show personalities — Pat Sajak and Vanna White — return in their thrice-familiar roles as host and “letter turner” for this new primetime spinoff of a venerable game that has proven remarkably resilient in both network daytime and syndication. For this new prime time version, though, celebrity contestants are the guests spinning the show’s big wheel to solve word puzzles and win up to $1 million. All winnings are donated to the charity of the stars’ choice.

9 PM ( TBS) Go-Big Show Too much of a good thing is fantastic in this offbeat new series, which showcases supersized talents on an unprecedented scale, featuring a diverse slate of attractions ranging from monster trucks to alligator and snake trainers, world record holders, stunt archery and — well, as noted, it’s definitely diverse with a capital D. Contestants undertake daring acts, hoping to impress such celebrity judges as Jennifer Nettles, Snoop Dogg, Rosario Dawson and AEW’s Cody Rhodes, to win the $100,000 grand prize. Bert Kreischer is host.
9 PM ( WE) Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta Political tensions collide with the tensions of life under a seemingly endless pandemic as this hit docuseries opens Season 4. Among the story lines, a mystery woman leaks a shocking secret that leaves Bow Wow haunted by his past, while Da Brat tries to keep unwanted drama from sabotaging his latest romance. Elsewhere, Ms. Deb drops a bombshell that threatens some of Waka and Tammy’s core beliefs, and COVID-19 literally takes Ayana Fite’s breath away, leaving her fighting for her life.
10 PM ( WE) The Real Blac Chyna This new docuseries follows entrepreneur, model and reality TV star Blac Chyna to explore the behind-the-scenes dynamics of her life and relationships. As the series opens, Chyna is in the middle of ongoing efforts to change course in her complicated and sometimes polarizing life, which includes repairing sensitive relationships with her mother, Tokyo Toni, and various exes. She’s also contending with various lawsuits, business ventures and other issues.
