Conchita Mascaró DeMoya

September 5, 1939 - December 27, 2020

Miami, Florida - On December 27, 2020, Conchita Mascaro DeMoya, passed peacefully at her home, after a 4-year battle with Dementia. She was 81 years old. Conchita was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and close friends. She received a plenary indulgence and the Papal blessing with anointed oil. She is at last, resting in peace in the Glory of God and with her loving husband, Jorge DeMoya who preceded her in death on April 26, 2012.

Conchita was the devoted daughter of Guillermo Fernandez Mascaro and Ernestina Ibarra Yarini. They lived in Havana, Cuba until 1959 when the family left for the United States in exile from the oppressive communist Cuban government. She is survived by her brother Guillermo Fernandez Mascaro, Jr., her three beloved children, Ana Warren, Mike Pirez and Connie Pirez, son in law Richard P. Warren, Jr and her six grandchildren, Veronica Tamayo, Danielle Warren, Richard Warren, III, Erik Hrach, Katherine Hrach and Nikolas Hrach.

Conchita was a woman of strength, fortitude, and conviction. She dealt with the challenges of life with patience, love and most importantly with the spiritual guidance of God. For those fortunate ones who were in Conchita’s life, there was a genuine feeling of emotions as she became a second mother, a second sister or the best friend that anyone could ever have imagined. Her extended family grew large over the years. We should all feel proud that a piece of Conchita lives in each of us and we are better people for it.

Her family and friends were her lifeforce, and she was happiest when surrounded by them.

The family is hosting a mass at St Augustine Catholic Church for the eternal rest of her soul on January 8, 2021 at 1:30pm.
