Nevin (Emily VanCamp) tie the knot in an intimate ceremony. Meanwhile, Chastain continues a transition from private to public hospital, forcing the beleaguered staff to repair a broken machine from the inside. Conrad Ricamora (“How to Get Away With Murder”) joins the cast as elite plastic surgeon Dr. Jake Wong, Dr. Bell’s (Bruce Greenwood) estranged former stepson.
8 PM * MOVIE Captain America: The Winter Soldier On top of being an entertaining “popcorn movie” in its own right, this 2014 adventure also proved a dazzling display of Marvel Studios’ corporate synergy in action, since the story line simultaneously was being amplified by events playing out on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” The powerful story of how “Cap” (Chris Evans) discovers his past has come back to haunt him is rewarding enough on its own terms. Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan also star. 8 PM G Two Sentence Horror Stories Holding to the formula its title describes, this anthology series begins its second season with “Bag Man,” sort of a scary take on “The Breakfast Club.” While in detention, several students have a deeply frightening encounter; cast members include Bzhaun Rhoden, Doralynn Mui, Keeya King, Rob Labelle and Hunter Dillon. Immediately following is another school-based tale, “Elliot,” about a bullied pupil who strikes back with surprising help from a custodian; James Goldman, Janet Kidder and David Lewis star.
8 PM ( MTV) Teen Mom 2 In the new episode “Season 10 Reunion Part 2,” Dr. Drew and Nessa host as Briana DeJesus returns to reflect on her high-profile blowup with Devoin Austin, and Kailyn Lowry speaks poignantly about her personal growth. In another segment, Chelsea Houska and Cole DeBoer get emotional as they look back at Chelsea’s incredible personal journey during this past season.
9 PM ^ PBS American Portrait Everyday Americans share their selffilmed stories about their jobs and careers in the new episode “I Work,” which also reveals how the subjects are navigating changes in their professional field and goals they are working toward. Professionals ranging from classroom teachers to truck drivers explore what it really means to be a worker in the United States today. The main stories revolve around individuals in Chula Vista, Calif., Stillwell, Okla., and New Orleans.
9 PM G Trickster Newcomer Joel Oulette heads the cast of this imaginative new drama as Jared, an Indigenous teenager struggling to keep his painfully dysfunctional family together. He holds down an after-school job and covertly sells Ecstasy to pay for his mentally ill mother’s (Crystle Lightning) own drug habit. In the series premiere, a drug dealer threatens Maggie, Jared’s mom, over an outstanding debt. Meanwhile, frightening hallucinations hint at much bigger troubles lurking right around the corner. Craig Lauzon and Kalani Queypo also star.
9:01 PM _ Prodigal Son A breakout hit in its freshman season, this subversively clever crime procedural resumes in the aftermath of Season 1’s bombshell finale, when criminal profiler Malcolm Bright (Tom Payne) had a shocking epiphany about his journalist sister, Ainsley (Halston Sage). Already dealing with the trauma of having a father (Michael Sheen) who’s a notorious serial killer, Malcolm now must protect both his sister and his mother (Bellamy Young) from a secret that could tear their family apart forever. Lou Diamond Phillips, Aurora Perrineau and Keiko Agena also return.

Island. The COVID-19 pandemic struck a serious blow to up-close businesses like theirs and then, in the middle of that serious challenge, the family was sent reeling by the sudden death of their patriarch, Big Mike. As a new season opens, his widow, Jennifer, has taken over the family’s financial obligations, but Bria and her fiancé, Matt, continue with their wedding plans.
