“Little House on the Prairie” (UPtv, daily): Based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s series of “Little House” books, this drama series revolved around the 1870s adventures of the Ingalls family – father Charles (Michael Landon), mother Caroline (Karen Grassle), eldest daughter Mary (Melissa Sue Anderson), middle daughter/narrator Laura (Melissa Gilbert) and youngest daughter Carrie (Rachel Lindsay Greenbush) – who owned a farm in Walnut Grove, Minn., during the late 1800s.

“Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman: Season 1” (Amazon): This 1993-1998 family Western show centered on the adventures of Michaela Quinn (Jane Seymour), a doctor who lived in the post-Civil War frontier town of Colorado Springs. Moving there after her father, a Boston physician, dies, Dr. Mike, as she was called, needed to win over the trust of her new community, who were not exactly thrilled about having a woman doctor.

“Family Affair” (Amazon): New York engineer Bill Davis (Brian Keith) found his life as a swinging bachelor turned upside-down by the arrival of his newly orphaned nieces and nephew – young twins Buffy (Anissa Jones) and Jody (Johnny Whitaker) and their teenage big sister, Cissy (Kathy Garver). In time, however, Bill adjusted his lifestyle to accommodat­e his young charges, with a little help from his fastidious British butler, Mr. French (Sebastian Cabot).

“The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet” (Amazon): The 1952-1966 long-running sitcom was based on a radio show of the same name. The series featured real-life married couple Ozzie and Harriet Nelson as well as their sons, David and Ricky. The focus of the series was the Nelsons’ home life as they dealt with run-of-the-mill problems that families of the day faced. By the time the show went off the air, it had produced 435 episodes over 14 seasons.
