Homestead, Florida Mildred Draizar, 97, passed away peacefully at home on 11/17/2021. “Millie” was born and raised in Indianapol­is, Indiana. She had three brothers, Al, Marvin, and Max Stein. As a young girl, Millie had an incredible gift for music. She had “perfect pitch” , which endeared her to the musicians with whom she worked. She married Paul, her loving husband of 67 years. They moved to Miami where Millie had an impact on the South Florida musical community. She taught piano students of all ages and organized the Women’s Choral Group at Flagler Granada JCC. She became the musical director for scores of production­s at five different local synagogues, as well as Westbrook Country Club and Dave and Mary Alper JCC. Millie and Paul moved to Homestead and contribute­d to the musical services at their new spiritual home: Temple Hatikvah Homestead Jewish Center. Millie was a devoted wife and loving mother of three daughters: Rochelle, Phyllis, and Andrea. She was blessed with 7 grandchild­ren and 8 great-grandchild­ren. The music will play on. Miami, Florida - Louise A Garavaglia, devoted mother and friend was born on November 8th, 1928 in Valley Stream New York to Beatrice Quenville Aubry and Emil J Aubry passed away in Miami on November 12th 2021. She is survived by her beloved son Charles A Garavaglia. She is also survived by her sisters Patricia Rose, Adrienne Karis and her brother Paul Aubry. Predecease­d by her brother Richard Aubry and her infant son Edward. Her husband Tony Garavaglia passed in 1999 and she stayed strong to her last day, always planning on what activity to do next.

Louise came to Miami in the early 1950’s to get away from the cold. She loved her garden and was an active member of the Rare Fruit Council, Master Gardeners and volunteere­d for many years at Fairchild. She was very creative and painted numerous paintings and a large mural of the Everglades on a wall in her home. Loved playing the piano and listening to her music. A woman of strong Catholic faith who always looked for the good in people and life. She will be missed by her family and her friends. Mass with Christian burial has taken place.
