More retro rewinds

“The Matrix” (Freeform, Monday, March 14): Forget anything you knew about linear or even rational plotting. Here comes the writing-directing Wachowskis’ absolutely wild, enormously successful 1999 fantasy that makes its own rules as Keanu Reeves plays a computer hacker drawn into an alternate world and a battle between the human race and cyberspace. Laurence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss also star.

“The Rockford Files” (getTV, Monday, March 14): It’s always nice to see a supporting player get the spotlight, and in “The Becker Connection,” that happened for series co-star Joe Santos. His police character Dennis Becker is framed for an evidence theft, and he appeals to Rockford and Angel (James Garner, Stuart Margolin) to find the culprit. Additionally nice here is Garner’s reunion with his former “Maverick” co-star Jack Kelly; also among guests are comedian Jack Carter and later “Hill Street Blues” co-star James B. Sikking.

“Flatliners” (EPIX, Tuesday, March 15): A cast of then-rising stars gave added immediacy to this 1990 melodrama about medical students subjecting themselves to near-death experiences – and going too far. Julia Roberts, Kiefer Sutherland (who also appeared in the 2017 remake), Kevin Bacon and William Baldwin star ... as does Oliver Platt, who ultimately would remain in the medical profession on screen as a star of television’s “Chicago Med.”

“Friends” (TBS, Tuesday, March 15): A milestone in the hugely popular sitcom’s history, “The One Hundredth” says which numbered episode it was. It revolves largely around Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), who goes into labor with triplets ... and

Joey (Matt Le Blanc) feels her pain, quite literally, leading him to become a patient at the hospital. A lovelorn Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) finds something else to do there, namely getting dates with a couple of staff members for herself and Monica (Courteney Cox).
