8 PM ^ Nature The new episode “American Arctic” explores the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in the northeast corner of Alaska, which has long offered protection to animal survivors of the Ice Age, who are free to roam this frozen wilderness. The Porcupine caribou herd traverses all of this region in the longest land-animal migration on Earth, but other extraordinary wildlife moments unfold everywhere in the refuge. Sadly, this icy fortress is melting due to climate change, posing an existential crisis for the resident polar bears, musk oxen, caribou and Arctic foxes.
8 PM G The Flash Barry and Chester (Grant Gustin, Brandon McKnight) may have figured out a way to stop the Black Flame from hurting anyone else in a new episode called “Resurrection.” Meanwhile, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) decides to try handling a situation on her own, which may wind up putting even more innocent lives in danger.
8 PM (DSC) Moonshiners: American Spirit In this new docuseries spinoff to the wildly successful “Moonshiners,” ’shiners Tim Smith and Howard
Thompson travel the United States to rediscover some legendary libations, but they don’t stop there. They also partner up with Steven Ray Tickle to rebuild some antique pot stills, then try to recreate some secret mash bills, attempting to resurrect some authentic American spirits that otherwise would be lost to history. Each episode features a single drink, and the featured booze ranges from Benjamin Franklin’s liquor in Philadelphia to Franklin Roosevelt’s secret Georgia moonshine.
8PM (LIFE) Married at First Sight
With only two weeks left until their big Decision Day, the four couples travel to Vermont for a final romantic getaway in the new episode “It’s Just a Blip.” Despite the appeal of adventure parks, sound baths and fun with alpacas, not everything goes well for the group, especially after one of them winds up in urgent care.
9PM G Kung Fu A tip from Evan (Gavin Stenhouse) leads Nicky and Mia (Olivia Leung, guest star Vanessa Yao) to a secret meeting between Juliette (guest star Annie Q) and a mysterious scientist in the new episode “Jyu Sa.”
Later, Nicky finds herself uncertain whether to view Mia as a friend or a shifu (teacher). Meanwhile, Henry’s (Eddie Liu) findings lead him to an expert who may be able to decipher his research. Elsewhere, Jin and Mei-Li (Tzi Ma, Kheng Hua Tan) help to settle an age-old dispute between Chinatown’s oldest grocers.
9:30 PM (TNT) NHL Hockey Two Western Conference foes who could be seeing more of each other come playoff time clash tonight in Denver, where Nazem Kadri and the Colorado Avalanche will defend home ice from Anze Kopitar and the Los Angeles Kings. The ’Lanche have gotten the best of the Kings in the season thus far, winning both games, the most recent an emphatic 3-0 Colorado victory in mid-March.
10 PM & Chicago P.D. During an investigation, Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) is tasked with taking a new recruit under his wing. The dynamic between them is challenging, however, especially when questions begin to arise about this newbie’s past, which is complicated, to put it mildly.
